About
My general interest lies in modelling and analysing the interactions between socio-economic and ecological systems, particularly in situations where 'market failures' operate, and the designing of corrective policies.
Topics I have been addressing range from the analysis of the coexistence between genetically modified and conventional crops, under a framework of spatial production externalities, to the issue of biosecurity and invasive species management.
More recently I have focused my attention on the links between economics and epidemiology, particularly on the use of bioeconomic models and optimal control theory for the management of infectious diseases.
